Journey...

My prayer:

WOOHOO! We made it! Thank you for all of your help today God. I could not have done it without you. 

I am so grateful for you in my life. You make me so much better, stronger, kinder, smarter, and successful than I could ever be on my own. Being your kid has some pretty awesome benefits.

How was your day? What is on your mind tonight?

What God Said Tonight:

I am taking you on a journey that will go through deep tunnels and majestic peaks. You will look out at times and think, "This is so wonderful, I can't believe I am here." You will look out at other times and think, "This is so awful, I can't believe I am here."

Through it all, never lose sight that we are moving forward. Through it all, never lose site that I am driving the train and have a destination in mind. 

The journey seems to take up all of your awareness at times but remember there is a destination and a purpose to the trip. I love you.

Tides...

My prayer:

What an awesome day God. Thank you for the lives that you touched and the people you healed. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of seeing you wrap your love around people. Your anointing was so palpable. I absolutely loved it!

Tomorrow it is back to work. I pray for the strength and stamina to make it through the day without setting back the recovery at all. As you have done so many times before, as my strength wears out, yours comes in and gets me through. 

Have I told you lately how much I love you? You are my everything.

What God Said Tonight:

Each day is like the beach shortly after the tide has gone out. Everything is new. Some is expected. You always have sand and kelp. You always have some rocks and some shells. But sometimes the tide leaves big surprises as well. Some good, some rotten. 

Life is like this. Each day is new with some things expected and some that are not. Just because you have seen the tides of yesterday does not mean you know what the tide will leave for tomorrow. 

Remember to approach each day with he expectation of greatness. I am in you and when that is true, anything is possible. I love you and I have great surprises for you. Look to your new day with joy and expectation.

God's view...

My prayer:

There are moments in life that when I am anticipating them, I can't imagine getting through them. Those are almost always the moments that when they occur, I am shocked at how quickly and easily they are resolved. 

It seems to me that as long as I wait on your timing, everything works out exactly as it is meant to. The waiting for your timing can take years and even decades but when it is right, all I have to do is sit back and watch you take care of it. 

I guess there is a decision point in there for me. I have to recognize your timing. But, honestly, the only way I know if I understood your timing correctly is by seeing the outcome. 

I am a novice at this thing called life God. Thank you for your patience, your teaching and your help.

What God Said Tonight:

I have a better view of the landscape than you do. I see the end from the beginning. I see a far bigger picture than you can. That vision allows better understanding of timing and solutions to the daily challenges. 

I don't expect you to have my vision I just ask you to trust that I have it and I will help you with it. 

I love you and I will see you ushered through this life an into eternity in my Kingdom with grace and beauty. I will see you fulfilled and whole. I will see you, now and forever, as wholly and completely mine own.

Wholeness...

My prayer:

What a WEEK God! We had joy, peace, fun, beauty, insight, intense pain, surgery, and miracles! Who ever said that living a life for God was boring? I need to talk to them and explain a thing or two! :)

Thank you for everything this week God. I pray for your continued guidance and healing. I pray for  your strength in me. 

Thank you for being my God and for loving me.

What God Said Tonight:

I believe I mentioned that you would gain great insight this week. I know it was dramatic but it was time to make some big leaps forward. 

Your trust and attention in this time was just what we needed. Rest and see your wholeness rise up in me.

Rest and revelation...

My prayer:

Well I made it through this day God, thanks to you. It was a tough one. The best part is, we are now on vacation time! 

I pray and ask for your traveling mercies. Guide us, direct us, be with us, show us what you want us to see. I ask for a continued hedge of protection around us. 

You are my everything. Can't wait to spend some quiet time with you away from the craziness of the world. LOVE YOU!!

What God Said Tonight:

This is a time of rest but it is also a time of revelation. I want to show you somethings and teach you somethings during this time. 

Don't forget to take some time each day to just listen. I will be speaking, I will be teaching. There is much that I have to show you to prepare you for the next season. 

So, rest, have fun, but take time for me each day. Love you.

Seeking God at all times...

My prayer:

Thank you for guiding my steps, thoughts and words today God. I think you kept me from making what could have been big mistakes. Life is so much easier when I listen to you. I hope I get better at always listening and following your guidance. 

Sometimes, throughout the day, I don't realize it is you speaking until it is too late. Other times, I think I hear you but I doubt and miss the opportunity. When I take the time, like now, to really listen, everything seems so much clearer. I would like that same level of clarity throughout the day.

I pray and ask for better discernment in the day-to-day moments of each day. 

What God Said Tonight:

I speak to you in the quiet times and I speak to you in the roar of life. My voice does not change. Your listening changes. 

Learning to diligent seek me at all times is not easy. It is a discipline. It takes effort and commitment. I can show you. I can show you the surrender needed. It is not easy. But I can show you. If you want. 

The surrender is a place of vulnerability and trust. It is also a place of certainty and peace. Dependence on me is strength. Surrender to me is freedom. Loving me is joy. 

I am here, speaking, all of the time. Surrender to my voice and trust me to be God, 

Right where you are...

My prayer:

Let's do something God. Let's go somewhere. Let's bless some people. Let's see a new corner of this world. Let's go somewhere and do something that matters.

What God Said Tonight:

Your blessing goes with you. You can find people to bless every time you get out of bed. Bless people right where you are. I have planted you there because I need people around you to see you, know you, trust you and come to me with your life as the example. 

We can go anywhere, and we will go many places. But, don't forget, I have a purpose and plan for your life and much of that is for the place I planted you with the people I have planted you with. 

Don't let your wanderlust keep you from seeing the blessing and work right in front of you. 

Seasons of life...

My prayer:

There is something about youth that makes you think that everything is possible and that your dreams are only a matter of time. Through the years, I have seen you bring so many dreams to pass, which is wonderful. Others have not happened and I think I have lost hope for them to happen. It seems like time is pretty short. 

I also have changed my motivation for dreams and goals. What I want is not so important anymore. I have seen that your plans are better than mine so I surrender to your will. There is peace in that surrender but it also less exciting. It shouldn't be. Especially since I am never sure what you are going to do next. It should be more exciting. 

I don't know God. I guess I am just feeling the years tonight and missing the fire of youth.

What God Said Tonight:

I have seasons for a reason. There is a time for the fire of youth and a time for the peace of maturity. 

The truly great thing is that you get to take all of your experiences with you every day for the rest of eternity. Your youth is a part of you. Your maturity is a part of you. The next season, is a part of you. You will take it all with you into eternity with me. 

You bring all of you to the throne and your praise, your worship reflects the beauty of every blessing and every struggle you have been through. Your worship is a reflection of all of you and it is so beautiful to me. I love all of you. 

Don't diminish any season in your life. Find the beauty in it that I see in you.

The rain...

My prayer:

Sitting in peace tonight God. It is a pretty nice spot. There are still plenty of worries, questions, circumstances all around me. But right now, here with you, I sit in peace. One of the greatest gifts of a life with you is your peace. Your healing is still my most favorite but peace is right up there. 

Thank you for your peace that is bigger and stronger than any problem that comes against it.

What God Said Tonight:

The rain comes and leaves beauty, life and joy in its wake. It doesn't come with the intention of destruction, although sometimes that happens. It does not come with the intention of putting out fires although sometimes that happens. 

Rain comes because of other factors that produce it. What it leaves behind is not really within its control. Blaming the rain for the flood or giving it credit for putting out the fire is giving the rain more power than it should have. 

Inspiration, dedication, freedom...

My prayer:

I am inspired by people who don't accept limits and believe they can do anything. I am inspired by people who are always striving to be better and don't take failure to heart. I am inspired by people who can love in the face of any adversity. I am inspired by people who never, no matter what, lose faith in you God. 

Thank you for all of the inspiring people in my life. I pray God for your help to be more like those who inspire me.

What God Said Tonight:

Inspiration is the fire. Dedication is the work. Freedom is the reward. 

When you can truly live the life that I intended for you, you live free of guilt, shame, 'what ifs' and self hatred. You live free of judgments from other people. You live free to believe you are who I say you are. 

Let your inspiration lead you to freedom. 

You are an amazing child of God who is covered in my blood and made holy. Nothing is impossible for you because you are mine. I love you, now and forever.

My prayer:

You were right God. Today was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. 

Because of the amazing people you put in my life, today was a continual reminder that I am loved. That is pretty awesome! Thank you for filling my life with such incredible people and thank you for loving me! 

Thank you also for the good report today. One more miracle!

What God Said Tonight:

It's ready really, really, soon but not yet. I have something that has been in the works for awhile for you and we are so close but not quite. 

I can't wait to show you. I can't wait to give it to you. I know you will  love it. You will see the purpose of so many of the struggles that you have been through. The purpose will be clear. 

I love you and this will be a great blow to evil and a great triumph for us. Come, dance with me. Let me hold you. Let's celebrate in anticipation of the victory. I love you.

Dread...

My prayer:

I am physically and emotionally exhausted and I have no real excuse as to why.  But that is where I am at tonight God. Everything I can think about to talk about sounds like whining so I think tonight I better just listen. 

What God Said Tonight:

It is not going to be as bad as you think. I know you are dreading it. I know you have built up in your mind that you are going to hate it. But, the truth is, there is a blessing in it. There is love in it. 

The truth is I can turn anything for your good, even those things that you are determined to hate, if you will let me. 

I love you. I have surrounded you with people who love you. Let us do that.

Together with God...

My prayer:

Right here, right now with you, there is peace, contentment, joy, and comfort. There is nothing better than your presence God. It really is the only place I ever want to be for the rest of eternity. In your presence. 

I love it here. I love you. 

The world goes crazy and I know you have heard my prayers for the needs of my friends throughout the day. But, now, here with you, I ask that you receive my love. Receive my worship. I pray that you get even a sliver of the joy from being with me as I get from being with you. 

What God Said Tonight:

I am with you. I sacrificed my son so I could be with you. I paid the ultimate price so I could be with you. 

I love you more than you can ever know. I will do whatever I have to do to make sure we are always together. There is a plan for all humanity that is based on the simple principle of creating ways for us to be together. It is the most important thing. 

My time with you is more precious than gold or diamonds. I love you.

Wait upon...

My prayer:

A day of changes again today. I am not sure what all you are teaching me but I am learning to go with the flow. More than ever, I understand that my 'plan' for the day is nothing more than a fleeting idea and your plan is the one we will follow. Thank you for always making sure your plan is better than mine! Love you Daddy!

What God Said Tonight:

I have not yet been waited upon in this season. I have more to come. I have more to give. Wait upon me. 

Wait with anticipation and patience. Wait on the blessings, wait on the purpose, wait on the glory. I have it all for you, waiting on the perfect time. 

I love you and I always have more for you.

New earth, new heaven...

My prayer:

Sweet Father. I really do love you. Not just because you loved me first, even though you did and not just because of the wonderful things you do for me, even though you do. I love you because of who you are and what I feel like when you are around. I love your presence. There is nothing better and nothing sweeter than your presence. 

What God Said Tonight:

Today is nothing more than a step in the process of reshaping this world into the original plan. There were wars and rumors of wars today. There were great tragedies and great joy. Today was unremarkable other than it has brought you one step closer to a life lived in a new earth and a new heaven. 

I have such a place picked out for you. We have been building your palace and making your crown. None of it is done yet but it will be ready for you in time. I can't wait to show it to you. You are really going  to love them.  

You are my sweet child and my  love for you will never die and never diminish. 

Seeds...

My prayer:

Thank you for another reminder that I may think I know how a day will go but that you always have surprises for me! I really enjoyed today's surprises. You took what seemed like it what was going to be a grueling day and made it kind of fun. 

I love having you in charge of my life!

What God Said Tonight:

You never really know what you are going to get by looking at the seed. Sometimes the smallest seeds will yield the biggest plants, and visa-versa. 

The beginning of a thing is often not reflective of the end. Those small, almost unnoticeable beginnings in your life can turn into life changing and world shaking events. 

I love you. Trust me with the seeds of your life and I will see them grow into glory.

Hope that lasts...

My prayer:

A day with new hope Lord! Thank you! 

What God Said Tonight:

You have hope because you have waited on me. You have hope because you have trusted me. You have hope because you see the light at the end of the tunnel. 

If your hope was only based on seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, it could not be trusted. The only hope that lasts is the hope that is rooted in your faith in me. 

It is not that way for everyone. People who do not follow me can find hope in a mud puddle, a star formation, really anything. But, in me, you have hope that is realized. You have hope that actually becomes your new truth. 

I love you and I will always be your hope.

Spirit war...

My prayer:

I have a lot of random thoughts running through my mind tonight God. Some are peaceful, content thoughts and some are definitely not. They don't seem to have any real direction but I am not sure I would call it confusion. Just kind of on a mind wander tonight.

Usually, that means I need to be quiet and listen. What you have to say is always a lot more interesting than any random thought running through my head. 

Ears open, mouth shut. :)

What God Said Tonight:

There is a war that has been raging in the spirit world for many years now. It is escalating. It is coming to a head. Soon, the victor will reign. Soon the carnage will be over. 

The fall out of this war is all around you. The casualties are people you know and love. No one likes the carnage of war but there are times when nothing else can rid the world of evil and tyranny. I have to rid the world of this evil once and for all. This war is step one. 

The disquiet in your soul, the feeling that things are not right, the sense that violence is around the corner, those thoughts are not your imagination. Those thoughts are your spirit sensing the battle around you. I tell you this now not because I need you to do anything but to help you to know the root of the issue. I tell you this now because it is close to finish. 

I love you and I am fighting for you every day. 

Fear...

My prayer:

Thank you for today God. A day full of fun, hope and friends. Life might not be perfect but days like today remind me that it is still worth it. 

Now, in the quiet of the evening, I am at peace here with you and waiting on your words and your voice to make my night complete.

What God Said Tonight:

I have not given you a spirit of fear. I know why fear has wiggled in. I know the circumstances that have kicked a hoke in your side and left you vulnerable. 

But, I am your God. You need not fear. I have a plan, I have a way out for you. I have your healing. It is at hand. It is not possible for me to show you all of what is in the way of this manifestation but know that I am working it out. 

Go, sleep in the peace that I am working it out, for you, for your good. 

I love your heart to serve, your inquisitive mind, your need to figure it all out. I will show you the whole picture one day, I promise. Right now, that is not possible. Trust in me and throw the fear out the window. It really has no business being in you, child of God.
